Tuesday 5/16 at 7:00 p.m.
Wednesday 5/17 at 1:00 p.m.
Thursday 5/18 at 1:30 p.m.
May 13 @ 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm 2017
We can start setting up at 2pm. So if you have a telescope with Solar viewing ability bring it out. This is the time for our club to show off what we know about Astronomy and how much fun it is!
We will have all kinds of activities, include presenting a Telescope to the Library, for the Telescope for Library Program. I believe the telescope will be traveling to different County Libraries and can be signed out just like a book. This will be the SAS’s second telescope donated to a library.

5/2017 Youth and Government Representative - Gabby Alvarez!
NorthStar's own Gabby Alvarez just returned from Washington D.C. where she represented Washington State for the YMCA National Youth Advocacy Days. This was the first time someone from Eastern Washington was chosen for this position. While she was there she met with our state representatives and senators on behalf of the YMCA Youth and Government Program.
It begins with the question: How did a small-town girl become a surgeon and one of the first six women astronauts for NASA in 1978?
At 7:00 pm on Monday, March 27th in Gonzaga’s Hemmingson Ballroom, discover how Dr. Rhea Seddon navigated a man’s world to accomplish her dream of conducting medical experiments in space, and what it took to become a healthcare leader at the Vanderbilt Medical Group for over a decade. Dr. Seddon’s tale of opportunities and mentors weaves a remarkable career journey that will inspire you and the youth of Spokane to reach for the stars.
